What affects the price of a dumpster rental?
There are three things to consider when choosing a dumpster: size, weight, and how long you'll need it.
Size
Our dumpsters range from 10 to 40 yards, with prices from $315 to $620. The best way to choose isn't to guess based on the number of rooms. Tell us what you're cleaning out, remodeling, or tearing down, and we'll help you choose the right dumpster.
The goal isn't to rent the biggest dumpster. It's to rent the one that fits your project.
Weight
A dumpster can look half full and still be heavy. Materials like concrete, brick, dirt, roofing shingles, and other dense debris can reach the weight allowance before the dumpster is full.
If you're loading heavy material, tell us when you book. We'll explain the weight allowance and any potential overage before delivery. Typical weight overage is about $60 per ton.
Rental days
Every rental includes 10 days. Need it longer? No problem. Additional days generally run about $10 to about $20 per day depending on dumpster size.
If you already know your project will take longer than 10 days, let us know when you book so there are no surprises later.
What the flat rate works out to per yard
Line the rates up and the price per yard falls as the dumpster grows. The 10 works out to about $31.50 a yard, the 15 to about $24.67, the 20 lands at $21, the 30 at about $17.33, and the 40 comes in at $15.50. That's the honest argument for sizing to the job instead of under it: yards get cheaper as you rent more of them, and an overstuffed small dumpster hands the savings back in weight.

Dumpster pricing questions
Why is dumpster pricing flat instead of quoted per job?
Because the costs are predictable: the dumpster, the truck time, and the landfill tonnage the allowance covers. Flat pricing means the number on this page is the number on the invoice, with extra days and tonnage overage as the only variables, both agreed before delivery.
What does the weight allowance mean on a dumpster price?
Each size includes a set tonnage in the rate: 2 tons on the 10 yard, 4 on the 15, 5 on the 20, 7 on the 30, and 9 on the 40. Ordinary household and remodel loads come in under it. Concrete, shingles, and plaster can pass it, at about $60 a ton over, which is exactly why heavy loads get steered into smaller dumpsters when you book.
Are there fuel or environmental fees on top of the price?
No surprise fuel or environmental fees are added to the advertised rental price. Your quoted price covers the dumpster, delivery, pickup, and the 10-day rental. Additional charges only apply when there are extra rental days or weight beyond the included allowance, and we explain those before they apply.
Does the dumpster price change by town?
Our standard pricing is based on the dumpster size and the rental terms, not the town. If you're outside our normal service area, call and we'll confirm the price for your location before you book.
How much does it cost to rent a dumpster for a week?
A week costs the same as ten days here, because ten days is the standard window and nothing is prorated for finishing early. That's $315 at the 10 yard through $620 at the 40. If the job needs longer, days eleven onward run about $10 to about $20 depending on size.
How much is a 20 yard dumpster?
$420 flat, with delivery, pickup, ten days, and a 5-ton allowance in that number. It's the size most kitchen remodels and mid-size cleanouts book, and the 20 yard page has the dimensions and what fits.
What is the cheapest way to rent a dumpster?
Book the size that matches the debris rather than the size that feels safe, and say up front if the load is heavy. Renting one size too big wastes about $50 to $100; going too small and needing a second haul costs a full second rental. Sizing on the phone takes two minutes and is free.
Is there a charge if I need the dumpster picked up early?
No. If you're finished before your scheduled pickup date, call or text and we'll arrange an earlier pickup when possible. The ten days are a maximum, not a minimum.
